The Hiring Manager
Napenda Kuishi Rehabilitation Program Trust
Nairobi, Kenya
RE: APPLICATION FOR THE POSITION OF CERTIFIED COUNSELLOR
Dear Hiring Manager,
I am writing to express my interest in the position of Certified Counsellor at Napenda Kuishi Rehabilitation Program Trust.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Counselling Psychology from Alupe University, graduating with Second Class Honours (Upper Division). I have over four years of progressive experience in counselling, rehabilitation, psychosocial support, programme coordination, and administration within healthcare and community settings.
Most recently, I served as a Rehabilitation Manager and Human Resource & Operations Coordinator at Better Me Options Rehabilitation Centre, where I coordinated rehabilitation programmes, conducted client assessments, developed individualized treatment plans, supervised counselling services, maintained confidential client records, and worked closely with multidisciplinary teams to support recovery and reintegration. Prior to this, I worked as a Residential Counsellor at Wiseway Counselling and Treatment Centre, providing individual and group counselling, crisis intervention, psychosocial support, and relapse prevention services for clients recovering from substance use disorders.
My experience has strengthened my ability to build therapeutic relationships, maintain professional ethics and confidentiality, communicate effectively with clients and families, and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. I am passionate about supporting individuals on their recovery journey and helping them regain hope, dignity, and independence.
I am confident that my academic background, practical experience, and commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care would enable me to make a meaningful contribution to Napenda Kuishi Rehabilitation Program Trust.
I have attached my Curriculum Vitae and supporting documents for your consideration. I would be grateful for the opportunity to discuss how my skills and experience align with your organization’s mission.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
Rogers Mwita Marwa
